2025 tours and presentations:
Precious Blood Church Fire of 1875 – Wednesday March 5 2025 from 6 to 7 PM – a presentation in the Community Room at the South Hadley Public Library. It will be about the May 27 1875 fire at the Precious Blood Church in Holyoke Massachusetts. 55 of the 70 people that died due to the fire are buried at the Precious Blood Cemetery of South Hadley. I will discuss the fire, the victims, and the burials. I have been able to find the vast majority of the birth and marriage documents of the victims. I have also been able to find the burial records of the 15 people that were not buried in South Hadley.

South Hadley Canal – Saturday, May 3 2025 from 10 to noontime – meet at the South Hadley Parking Lot across from the St Patrick’s Church and be ready to walk 2 miles – We will start at the South Hadley Riverside Park and walk to the Bicentennial Park.
