Holyoke Heritage Trail

The Holyoke Heritage Trail is my attempt at bringing together the most important historical elements of Holyoke in one trail. This has 16 stops and is 4 miles long just as the Freedom Trail of Boston is. It can be walked, biked, or driven by car. The best place to start is the Holyoke Heritage State Park. The map goes from 1 to 16 with a suggested route. The dotted line is a return route or crossover. It is best to cover portions of the trail with breaks in between.

  • A booklet is available for this tour in either B & W or color, go HERE for the information needed to buy it.
  • Private GROUP TOUR (COSTS) is two hours long for this Holyoke Heritage Trail as a bicycle riding tour. It can also be done walking and in car for any amount of time. Also a one hour indoor presentation can be given.
  • A free public tour comes up every year.
  • A self-tour is available for anyone using the maps and text seen below.LOCATION
