Basilica of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help is at 1545-1565 Tremont Street. It is mostly called Mission Church and has given its name to the neighborhood. The dedication of the church was April 7 1878.
The rectory to the right of the church is from 1902. It is to the left of the church. The guild hall in back of the rectory is from 1903. In the back of the campus is a convent from 1888. To its right is the school from 1888. Saint Alphonsus Hall in back right is from 1898.
There was a burial ground at the Meeting House in the center of the town from 1658 to 1663. There were about 10 burials there. In 1680 these were moved to the Bridge Street Cemetery. The Bridge Street Cemetery was formed in 1662 at the present location. The cemetery is part of the Pomeroy Terrace Historic District. Historic Northampton has a wonderful story and resources. The tomb is from 1875 and was made by Richard Upjohn.

FINDAGRAVE – The Reverend Solomon Stoddard is buried here as one of nine table gravestones. He is in a group of three tables in sequence. He is to the right and his wife is in the middle. Their son John Stoddard is on the left.
