Pulaski Park is the site of the first location of a meeting house in Easthampton. This was placed here in 1785 when Easthampton became a district. It would become a town in 1809. The meeting house lasted on the land here until 1835. It was taken down and a new Congregational church placed at the site across the street where the Easthampton Savings Bank is. An elm tree was planted in 1835 at the location of the pulpit of the meeting house. This tree lived from then until 1952 when it was taken down. A plaque was placed on it in 1912. Also in 1952 the fence post that you see here was taken from the moving campus of the Williston School and placed here to support two plaques.
