The congregation started on October 16 1834.
The Third Congregational Church is now on Springfield Street at the corner with Pearl. This Third Congregational Church of Chicopee is from 1867. The architect is Charles Edward Parker. It has nice stained glass windows and a nice organ. The chapel is attached to the back at a 90 degree angle to the main church. Later it would be used as a Sunday school. The rectory is to the right of the church.
