United Presbyterian Church is located at Newbury and Greenleaf Streets. This church is from 1925. It was dedicated February 14 1926. It was built in the Gothic Revival style. It borders on Dana Park.

First Spiritual Church
First Spiritualist Church is now on 94 Union Street since it was moved when the casino came to Springfield.
Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church is on Howard Street of Springfield (near Water Street).
It is from March 9 1873 (first mass). Patrick Keely designed this church. Louis Gagnier was the founder and the first pastor. The home of Caleb Rice was used as a rectory. This was 73 Howard. The school was to the left back and opened in 1897.
