First Spiritualist Church is now on 94 Union Street since it was moved when the casino came to Springfield.









Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church is on Howard Street of Springfield (near Water Street).
It is from March 9 1873 (first mass). Patrick Keely designed this church. Louis Gagnier was the founder and the first pastor. The home of Caleb Rice was used as a rectory. This was 73 Howard. The school was to the left back and opened in 1897.
