Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is at about 51 Pleasant Street. This church is from 1923. In 1871 the parish formed and in 1872 the church was made on Bank Street. In 1887 the school ( Mt. Carmel School) and rectory (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Rectory) was made on Convent Hill Road. The architect was Joseph Jackson. The school in the 60s became a public school.

Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church

Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church is from 1925. It is for the Italian ethnic group. The rectory is attached to it in the back. This is the Ernest Rivers house from 1900. The addresses are 108 Bridge Street and 50 Maple Street of Agawam. At first the partish was a mission one for the Mount Carmel Church of Springfield. This mission chapel was on Walnut Street in Agawam. The library across Maple Street is from 1905.
