Sons of Israel is now Daniel’s New Bethel Church of God in Christ and is at 1321 Dwight Street in Springfield. The temple is from 1924. It changed its name soon after 1924.

Congregation B’nai Torah is the 2007 merger of Beth Israel, Kesser Israel, and Kodimoh. Their three cemeteries are under their control. The temple is at 2 Eunice Drive.

Kodimoh Synagogue

Kodimoh Synagogue is at 124 Sumner Avenue and is from 1960.
The building they started in in 1923 (the Congregation Kodimoh Synagogue) is on Oakland Street LINK. They own the Congregation Kodimoh Cemetery in West Springfield. Cemetery LINK. The congregation dates back to 1916 and its origin is in this Forest Park neighborhood.

Temple Beth El

Temple Beth El has its cemetery in West Springfield. FINDAGRAVE The cemetery has its own page on my site LINK.
Temple Beth El has a web site EXTERNAL LINK. Their history is very well explained at the same page EXTERNAL LINK. Their organization started in 1913. The first building that they made was in 1918 at 150 Fort Pleasant Avenue. The Forest Park Hebrew School was close by. In 1937 the United Hebrew School was made on Oakland Street.
A new temple was built in 1953 on Dickinson Street but it had a severe fire and another one was made in 1968.
