Walk into Pulaski Park in Holyoke at the northern end of Maple Street. At the parapet wall to the northeast, you will see the gate system of the Holyoke Canal System. This is the gray metal structure to your left. The louvered angled structure to your right is designed to get the fish to move into a tunnel into the Connecticut River so that they are not stuck in the canals. See the enormous Holyoke Dam just beyond the canal.
